THE NATURE'S DESIGN STORY

Inspired by the Islands, Made by Hand

Nature's Design 242 was created to celebrate the beauty found in the places we call home. Our work draws from the vibrant colors of Bahamian flowers, the clear blue waters of the shore, natural textures, and the details that make island life special.

Through handcrafted jewelry, décor, and home pieces, we turn those inspirations into designs that feel personal, meaningful, and made to be enjoyed. Each piece reflects our appreciation for natural materials, creativity, and the hands-on craftsmanship behind every creation.

2022

The Tribune — Fashion Feature

Following one of our earliest pop-up events, Nature's Design 242 was featured in the fashion section of The Tribune, sharing the story behind the brand and our handmade Bahamian-inspired pieces.

For us, this was an encouraging milestone as a young business. The feature helped introduce our work to a wider local audience and affirmed that our story, originality, and connection to nature were beginning to resonate beyond the market table.

2023

VoyageMIA — Inspired Stories

In 2023, Nature's Design 242 was featured in VoyageMIA Magazine in its Inspired Stories section. The feature gave us an opportunity to share more about our journey, creative process, and vision for growing a Bahamian handmade brand.

Being recognized beyond our local market encouraged us to continue refining our collections and working toward reaching a wider audience while staying connected to the inspiration behind our work.

CanvasRebel — Artisan Brand Feature

In December 2023, Nature's Design 242 was featured in CanvasRebel, where we shared more about our story, business journey, and creative perspective as a growing artisan brand.

The feature gave us another opportunity to reflect on the growth of the business and the meaning behind our handmade work. It also highlighted the importance of creativity, persistence, and staying connected to the inspiration around us as we continued building the brand.

2024

National Art Gallery — Store Placement

In 2024, following our participation in the National Art Gallery Pop-Up, Nature's Design 242 was selected to be featured in the National Art Gallery store as an authentically Bahamian-made brand.

The opportunity began as a six-month consignment agreement and was later extended, allowing our work to remain in the store for about a year before renovations. Having our pieces displayed in such a respected creative space was a proud milestone and a meaningful validation of our craftsmanship.

2026

Women's Haven — Wise Women Series & Radio Feature

In 2026, co-owner Lacory was featured as part of Women's Haven's Wise Women Series, an International Women's Month initiative celebrating female leadership, community empowerment, and the stories of women making an impact.

The feature highlighted Lacory's creative and entrepreneurial journey through Nature's Design 242. During the same month, she was also interviewed on the radio about the brand, its story, and the inspiration behind its handmade Bahamian pieces.

Together, these moments helped showcase the leadership, creativity, and purpose behind Nature's Design as the brand continues to grow.
